Acupuncture, Chinese medicines, and diet are all used in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. Acupuncture is a technique that includes inserting very fine needles into the skin at specific spots along meridians. It’s most typically used to alleviate pain, but it’s also used to treat metabolic abnormalities, skin illness, and mental health. Myofascial tissue, a thin saran-like coating that surrounds all muscles, muscle fibers, and nerves, is also affected by acupuncture.
